Cookie Policy

Effective date: September 19, 2026

About this policy

This policy explains cookies and similar technologies on the SiteOwl website and client portal operated by SiteOwl. Read it with our Privacy Policy.

Contact: privacy@siteowl.online.

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Other technologies may store information on, or access information from, your device. Some support requested features such as signing in; others may be used for optional measurement or advertising.

Account and security functions

The SiteOwl portal uses WordPress authentication to maintain signed-in access. The exact cookies, duration, and related security technologies depend on the live WordPress installation and hosting configuration.

First-party session storage

[hash] represents a site-specific identifier in the cookie name. Session storage is separate from cookies and lasts for the browser-tab session.

Logging out removes the authentication and cache-variation cookies listed above. The cookie used to check browser cookie support may remain for the browser session.

Optional technologies

We do not currently use optional analytics cookies, advertising trackers, embedded video players or third-party chat tools on our website. If we introduce optional technologies, we will update this policy and, where required by applicable law, obtain your consent before enabling them.

Your choices

Your browser can block or remove cookies and other stored website data. Blocking sign-in cookies may prevent the client portal from working. Browser controls do not undo information already sent to a provider. Visiting the site or accepting our service terms does not by itself consent to optional tracking.

Referral links

A SiteOwl referral link contains a unique referral code. When a new client follows the link and completes account registration, SiteOwl records the relationship between the referring client and the new client. We also record the referral’s reward status, including whether the new client’s first payment has been approved and whether the resulting credit has been applied. SiteOwl does not use a dedicated cookie to track referrals. Other cookies used by the website are described in the inventory above.

Updates

We update this policy when the technologies we use change. The effective date appears above.
